Friday's BIG NEWS

☺ ☺

Since the boys love their warm and happy home and don't seem to want to come out on their own (even after ALL the labor stimulating things being done to coax them out), Dr. Echt told us on Friday that if they don't arrive this weekend on their own, that we are to check in to the Labor & Delivery room on Monday, April 21st at 5AM so the Docs can begin to induce labor! Hearing this and knowing that this is it... this is the last weekend... we are actually going to finally get to meet our two precious little packages.... is UNREAL! We've been both going through a roller coaster of emotions between overwhelming happiness and excitement to fear, worry and other never before felt emotions we can't even describe. Knowing that Monday is the day has really put the whole next stage into the very front of our minds. Prior to this news, the day the boys were to arrive was just some day in the future; some far off day that would eventually arrive... now we know. It is so exciting that we finally get to meet these guys and bring them into our world and raise and nurture them and love them and be with them. It is the greatest feeling in the world! YOUR MOM AND I LOVE YOU BOYS AND CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOU!!!

Thurs. April 17th - Dinner at Adrian & BJ's

Last Thursday, Adrian, BJ and Lucas had us over to their great house for a yummy dinner (Thanks Beej!). This gave us a great opportunity to take some photos of Lauren and Adrian and my sister as well as Mister (Lucas). Adrian is 7-1/2 months pregnant with their new little girl.

Mister, Adrian, Danielle and Lauren!

This also gave us a good opportunity to take some more shots of Lauren's SUPER BELLY!

Here we are at week 37.... The boys gave us another weekend to relax and what a weekend they gave us! Record temperatures in the 90's made for epic beach time and who better to spend our time with than Danielle (aka Dolls - Patrick's sister) and where better to spend it: Hammonds!

The boys were loving the great weather and so was Mama. A couple dips in the ocean got the boys familiar with an envioronment they're bound to spend a lot of time in and they seemed to love it.

We also took the opportunity to get some shots of Lauren imitating a picture we have of her Mom at the end of her pregnancy 30 years ago. The apple sure didn't fall far from the tree!

Week 35 - Rincon Weekend

This weekend we were absolutely blessed with the very thoughtful offer from Steve and Carole Halsted to use their beach house at Rincon...! The weather was great and we just completely relaxed, slept in, ate yummy food and enjoyed each others company free of any plans or work on the house. It was GLORIOUS! To add to the luxury of the weekend, Lauren lined up two masseuses to give us each a massage out on the front patio. It was as amazing as it sounds! The sun was warm and relaxing yet cooled down perfectly with a great ocean breeze. Absolute nirvana! Thanks Halsteds!

Week 34 - Del's Special Week

This was a very special week for us with the passing of my (Patrick's) incredible Grandmother, the visit by my aunt Val and cousin Mike and finding out that the Boys big debut is right around the corner. We had one doctor tell us she thought they'd be here in 10 days and anoter tell us a week... who knows when it will actually happen but as you can tell from these photos... there is not much more room for these not-so-little guys anymore. In addition to them being nearly 5 lbs each, they are strong little guys that seem like they will be soccer players and karate masters more than anything else with their never ending kicks and jabs. Poor MamaLo. The house is pretty much ready with Sarah's (our Nanny) room now complete (at least 99.9% complete - Thanks Al!!), the nursery is all setup and looking epic (thanks Lois!) and our bags are packed and ready for the eventual trip to the delivery room. I can't believe we are ready...! It seems very sureal.

RUB THE BUDDHA FOR GOOD LUCK!

Week 33 - OOooohhh St. Patty's Day!!!

Lauren was in LA for her step sister's baby shower on the Sunday before St. Patty's Day. Of course, being a good Irish girl, she wore her best green outfit she could fit in... Oh yeah!

Chapter 3: Week 27

Week 27! It hasn't been an easy past couple weeks... Lots of growing pains and poor Mama Bear has been exausted after a day of activity. The boys got a perfect bill of health from Dr. Soffici though so that's really all that matters. They are big too (relatively) at about 2.5 lbs each. That is a whole pound each in two weeks. Apparently their eyes have now developed completely and if we were to shine a bright flashlight on the belly, they could see the red light! Also, by the end of this week, if they were to come out early, they'd have over a 90% chance of survival. This really is the home stretch.

Lauren had her Santa Barbara baby shower this past weekend as well. An absolute success with over 30 of the most beautiful ladies in Santa Barbara gracing our home with gifts for the boys and Mama to be. Lauren was radiant and was very thankful for the amazing support and love of her friends. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! We love you all and you mean the world to us! Week 25

Sorry for the delay in getting photos up for you guys! We've been hybernating. Everyone is telling us to catch up on our sleep now so we have been, BIG TIME. I have not gone to bed this early since I was kid and was forced to! It feels so great!

So, according to the books, the boys should be a little over 1.5 lbs each. Happy Mama over here has 3lbs of BOYS in her! So great!

This also is the last week of the second trimester... the so-called "honeymoon stage".... Oh.. Oh.. What does that mean? How much bigger can that little belly stretch?

Happy New Year BELLY!!

Happy New Year! This is going to be a HUGE year for us so to bring it in right, here are some shots of Lauren's ever-growing belly! It is large and in charge now and so damn beautiful! The boys went to the Doctor today and are doing great! Next Wednesday we do the next ultrasound so we'll have a bunch more info on them. Very exciting times!
